On 28th September 2018 the ACP Group of States and the EU began negotiations for a successor Agreement to the Cotonou Agreement which comes to an end in February 2020. This section contains all you need to know about the negotiations.

ACP GROUP DECLARATION ON THE TENTH WTO MINISTERIAL CONFERENCE (MC10)

Preamble: 

We, Ministers of the African, Caribbean and Pacific (ACP) Group of States responsible for trade matters, meeting in Brussels from  19 to 21 October 2015 to, among other things, review preparations for the Tenth WTO Ministerial Conference (MC10) in Nairobi and provide political guidance  to our Member States; 

DECLARATION of the 18th meeting of the ACP Ministerial Trade Committee on ACP-EU Economic Partnership Agreements (EPAs)

The ACP Group Trade Ministers, meeting in Brussels from 24 to 26 June 2015;

HAVING considered the state of play of the EPA negotiations and the implementation processes in the various ACP configurations;

DECLARATION of the 18th meeting of the ACP Ministerial Trade Committee on fiscal jurisdiction in ACP countries

The ACP Trade Ministers, meeting in Brussels from 24 to 26 June 2015;

WHEREAS the Cotonou Agreement provides for political dialogue and policy coherence as enshrined in Article 8 and 12 respectively;

DECLARATION OF THE ACP GROUP OF STATES ON THE OCCASION OF THE 21st ANNIVERSARY OF THE 1994 GENOCIDE IN RWANDA

The African, Caribbean and Pacific Group of States, as well the entire international community, joins with the people and the Government of Rwanda in commemorating today, 7 April 2015, the 21st anniversary of the tragically infamous events that plunged Rwanda into shock in 1994.
 

Declaration of the 37th session of the ACP Parliamentary Assembly on the devastating impact of Cyclone PAM on the island states of Vanuatu, Tuvalu, Solomon Is. and Kiribati in the Pacific region

The   Parliamentary Assembly of the African Caribbean and Pacific Group of States, meeting at its 37th Session in Brussels, Belgium on 18 March 2015,   
 
A. Saddened by the loss of lives, people left homeless, the desperate need for food and shelter, the severe shortages of drinking water, and the catastrophic effects upon the socio-economic infrastructures caused by cyclone PAM; and
 

DECLARATION OF THE ACP GROUP ON THE ERUPTION OF THE VOLCANO OF FOGO IN CABO VERDE

The ACP Council of Ministers at its 100th Session held at ACP House, in Brussels, Belgium from 10th to 12th December 2014;

Expressing its Deep Concern on the humanitarian impact of the eruption of the volcano of Fogo in Cabo Verde, which started in the morning of 23 November 2014 and affecting the entire population of Chã das Caldeiras and the surrounding areas, totalling nearly 2000 people and still spewing lava to this day;

DECLARATION BY THE ACP COMMITTEE OF AMBASSADORS ON THE POLITICAL SITUATION IN BURKINA FASO

The Committee of Ambassadors of the African, Caribbean and Pacific Group of States (ACP Group) has been closely following the developments in the political situation in Burkina Faso.
 
The Committee extends its condolences to the bereaved families and expresses heartfelt compassion and solidarity with all the people of Burkina Faso. 

Resolution of the 99th session of the ACP Council of Ministers on the Development of the ACP Commodities Sector

The ACP Council of Ministers,

A.  HAVING REGARD to the resolutions on sugar, cotton and bananas  adopted  by the 98th session of the ACP Council of Ministers held in Brussels  (Belgium), on 10 and 11 December 2013 ;

DECLARATION BY THE ACP COUNCIL OF MINISTERS ON THE TERRORIST ATTACK IN MPEKETONI, KENYA

The ACP Council of Ministers, meeting in its 99th session in Nairobi (Kenya) from 16 to 18 June 2014,
 
- DEEPLY SHOCKED at the terrorist attack carried out during the night of 15 June 2014, by a group of about fifty heavily-armed men in several neighbourhoods at the Mpeketoni settlement area, which killed some 50 innocent and defenseless civilians; 
 

DECLARATION OF THE ACP COUNCIL OF MINISTERS ON THE SECURITY SITUATION IN THE NORTH OF MALI
