ACP Ministerial Communiqué on the 9th session of the WTO Ministerial Conference

Brussels, 11 October 2013/ ACP: Ministers responsible for Trade of the ACP Group of States, meeting in Brussels 9-11 October, having considered the status of work on the issues being considered for decision at the Ninth Ministerial Conference of the WTO to be held in Bali, Indonesia 3-6 December 2013, emphasised the importance of securing a balanced and meaningful outcome in the areas under negotiation.

Brussels, 7 October 2013/ ACP: Ministers and other High level trade officials from the African, Caribbean and Pacific countries will rally in Brussels from 7-11 October for talks, leading up to a meeting with EU Trade Commissioner Karel De Gucht on Friday 11 October.

Plane crash in Lagos, Nigeria

The Chairman of the Committee of Ambassadors of the ACP Group H.E. Fatumanava III Dr. Pa’o LUTERU, Ambassador of Samoa, was shocked and dismayed to learn of the tragedy that occurred in Nigeria on 3rd October 2013 when an Associate Airlines plane crashed at the Lagos airport, killing at least 15 of its passengers.  

DRC 56th ACP country to ratify Cotonou Accord

Brussels, 30 September 2013/ ACP: The Democratic Republic of Congo has completed the process of ratifying the 2010 revised version of the ACP-EC Partnership Agreement, also known as the Cotonou Agreement.
